Wednesday November 18, 2015 - Nandi Hills MP, Alfred Keter, has been told to go slow on Devolution
Cabinet Secretary, Miss Anne Waiguru, who is accused of stealing billions of
shillings from her Ministry.
Speaking at St Christopher
Lelwak Catholic Church and at Kapsabet AIC Bible College, former ODM chairman,
Henry Kosgei, said that leadership has many challenges and one has to draw
a balance between public and personal interest.
Kosgei, who is also a former Tinderet
MP, said a leader sometimes has to seek divine intervention for things to work.
He asked the Kalenjin community to
pray for Keter to differentiate between personal and public interest.
Kosgei also said that he is grateful
to Tinderet residents for electing him to Parliament for 30 “uninterrupted”
years.
“To be elected six times to
Parliament uninterrupted is not simple. I owe the people of Nandi all that I am
today,” he said.
He concluded by saying that he learnt
a lot in politics and one important lesson was letting some issues run their
course.
